We were recently contacted by a customer in urgent need of brick restoration work after an incorrect brick colour had been mistakenly applied during a project. Understanding the importance of maintaining the integrity of the surrounding architecture, especially in such a conservation area, we immediately stepped in to support.
Phase 1: Assessment & Initial Inspection

Phase 2: Removal of Incorrect Bricks
Our team liaised directly with Westminster Council, providing them with detailed clarity around the issue and gathering insight into their expectations for a suitable resolution. Upon further review, we identified the correct brick type required: ‘Luton Grey’ with a very specific dye level.

Phase 3: Repointing
This particular brick is extremely rare and difficult to source, but we took on the challenge, tracking down a viable match and testing a number of dye application levels to ensure complete accuracy. Once Westminster Council reviewed and approved the sample, we proceeded with the agreed replacement and restoration work.

Phase 4: Final Replacement & Restoration
We’ve included before-and-after images below so you can see the difference for yourself.
The project is now complete, and the customer and Westminster Council are extremely pleased with the result and now have yet another 5 Star review from our customer

“Thank you and Roy personally for such an excellent job. I’m extremely grateful for how you’ve handled this throughout. Your professionalism, courtesy, expertise and diplomacy have resolved everything better than I could have hoped.” – Ben (Client feedback)
